Old laptop crashed years ago........

Ok, not even sure where to start. I use to have Photoshop (Paid Version). Long story short, laptop crashed years ago and I am just now getting back into it. How do I recover the program and the code?

Also, my father had Photoshop, lightroom and a few others. He passed 2 years ago. Is there any way for me to take over his account/programs?

Thanks, Jeff

you can't (legally) assume your fathers adobe apps.  you would have to use http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/transfer-product-license.html

for pse, you may be able to download from your account.  or, if not, from predesigntools.com.  but the bigger issue is your serial number:

there are several possible ways to find/recover an adobe serial number.

1. search purchased materials: https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/kb/find-serial-number.html

2. you can check your account (if you purchased from or registered with adobe AND you remember the adobe id used to purchase/register), https://accounts.adobe.com

3. if your adobe program is installed on another computer you can recover its serial number from that computer,

(win:) http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html

(mac:) https://mac-product-key-finder.com/

p.s. actually, download & install is the better forum for this post, https://community.adobe.com/t5/photoshop-elements-discussions/old-laptop-crashed-years-ago/m-p/14558078#M50982

Hi Jeff,

Welcome back!

I checked your account details and found that you have Adobe Photoshop Elements. I'll move this discussion to the Element's community for further help.

Let us know if you have any questions.
