Question

old Photoshop Elements 14 - Adobe will no longer reactivate this

Protect yourselves from this and don't buy any more Adobe products!
Adobe refuses to set my Premiere Elements 14 activations to zero:

I understand that you are contacting us about (Photoshop Elements 14). This version is one of our early releases and is no longer supported by Adobe through direct support. We at Adobe work hard to provide our products with the latest tools and updates in order to provide our customers with modern and reliable applications. Older versions of our products can still be used for a long time and for many years to come. However, Adobe no longer provides support for these products. This also means, for example, that new serial numbers can no longer be issued for these products, as they are simply no longer produced.
Serial numbers are only created for a limited number of activations. Once the activation limit has been reached, the serial number can no longer be used for another device unless the user deactivates the serial number on their device in order to use it again on another device. We at Adobe do not have the ability to remove serial numbers from our customers' devices.
We understand that this can sometimes be disappointing for our customers. However, there is still the possibility for you to look for help in our community. Please find the corresponding link here....

Thx for nothing

Pretty much the same thing gas happened to me with pse15 (elements and premiere). They were working last week. Now when I try to open either I am directed to a sign in with a North American license, despite being in the UK. On sign in it says I have a 30 day trial and need to purchase a 3 year license. My account shows no activations and has a serial no for premiere only and serial no. for pse 13 and 9 which I had previously.  Support say I have maxed my activations (two) but I have only ever ised the one PC.; Support say they can't do anything as it is no longer supported and they can reactivate as servers closed.

My licensed Photoshop Elements 14 has somehow been disabled! Can anyone advise how to enable it? Thank you.

why can't you activate your pse

The application will not open. When I look at task manager, it is listed there as "disabled" but no option to enable it. Very strange. It has worked fine for many years! Premiere, which I bought in same bundle, is working fine!

The present problem for Adoe staff is not to reactivate, it's to deactivate the license for a given computer if you have not done so yourself, which is what you should do to allow activating a new computer instead.

The general situation is either:

- you have activated a single computer. Then you still have the second activation available. No need to ask anything from Adobe.

- You have already installed the two activations. You need to deactivate yourself one of them to activate a third computer. No need to ask Adobe.

Now, a third situation can arise. One of the activated computers is no longer available (theft, crash, fire, flood...).

This means that you have to deactivate the rmaining activation on the second computer and activate the third one.

You still have an activation you can move yourself to the two remaining computer. The Adobe staff was able to help by deactivating the lost computer to restore one activation for you. Now, Adobe says the staff can no longer access the activation servers which are much to old. It's a pity, but you can still work your old PSE version with a single activation.

I have even checked that I can still download old versions installers with their serial numbers from my account to reinstall them.

The worst situation is if you have lost both activations and both computers are no longer available. So, my guess is that chances are that you have not lost the two computers and that one is still available. The real loss in that situation is when one of the computers was not used according to the license terms, that is for two different users instead of only one according to the license terms.

The final word is that when you no longer need a computer or when you move to a new one, you should have the reflex to deactivate to keep the two activations available.

I am sorry but you are completely incorrect.   I have been fighting with Adobe on this issue.  I have only installed my Adobe photoshop elements 14 program on one computer.  That computer crashed and I bought a new computer and tried to install it.  The video editor, from the same program works fine but the photo editor does not.  The program is purchased has a perpetual licence but they have locked me out and said I have to purchas a new program.  All they want is more money.  They don't care about their customers

if part of pse works beyond the trial period, pse must be activated.

Can't you just deactivate one of the devices yourself? I think you should be able to do that after logging in and viewing your account/downloads/devices.

You can't activate even a new sealed product of elements 14, I just tried with a new never unsealed one I had bought years ago and it's telling me it's expired
