On Elements 2026, how can I disable "Constrain Properties. When I add a signature layer, it wants to keep the same proportions! I want to adjust the height and width myself. It wasn’t an issue with the 2013 edition!

Your signature layer, I assume, is just your signature- turn it into a brush.

Are you adding a text layer?

After clicking done, drag one of the corner handles and you should see a checkbox “constrain proportions” in the tool options at the bottom.

Thanks! I see that, but it has to be done every time. I want to disable the “Constrain Proportions”

Hold down the “Shift” key as you start dragging a corner handle. Then continue dragging as required.
