On going Elements 10 Problem

My Elements 10 fails to remember the serial number after a major Windows 10 update.  This happened some time ago and I was told to download Elements 10 from the Adobe website and install.  I did that and all was well until the recent major Windows Update.  Now almost everytime I want to use Elements I must re-enter the serial number.  Surely there must be an easy fix instead of removing and re-installing the software.  Continuing problems like this make me uneasy concerning newer Adobe software!
