Whether you use a CD or a download, you register your software on your Adobe account. That way you can re-download and install your software on a different computer (your license key is saved in your account).

Before changing computers:

1 - use the menu Help >> sign out to free the license for the other computer (also called "deactivating")

2 - to transfer both your photo files and catalogs, use the backup and restore process.
