Only Prints in Low DPI
I have a Canon TS6160 printer that the specifications say that it prints up to 4800 (h) x 1200 (w) dpi.
When I edit/open a photo (hi res) in any other photo editing program the program will print the image (generally 6" x 4" on high gloss photo paper) in what ever dpi resolution that I set, BUT when I open/edit the same photo/s in Photoshop Elements 10 (fully paid version) and I try to print I get the following message:
"The following image/s will be rendered at less than 200dpi at the requested image size"
I have set the Canvas and Image size both at the the 6" x 4" size. I have also tried using different Canvas and Image sizes, but still get the same message.
When I do a print at this resolution the printed photo is not clear/sharp, but in other programs it prints perfectly.
In the Photoshop Editing screen the photos look perfect.
Thinking it might be the printer, I contacted Canon and have updated the drivers to the latest version as they suggested, but the problem was not fixed.
Can anyone advise how to solve this problem, because if not my program is useless to me.
Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
David
