Question

Organizer cluttered with unwanted thumbnail photos

My Organizer in PSE 2019 is filled with what I would describe as thumbnail photos of faces cropped from photos already present in Organizer that have people in them.

There are dozens and I have tried to get rid of them as I find them useless. I have checked settings and am at a loss as to how to get rid of them because they take a lot of space.

Any ideas?

In continuation to Greg's reply, you can find more about Face recognition feature at Marking faces in photos in Elements Organizer

You seem to be describing the People tab of the Organizer.  This is part of the face recognition feature of the program. If you click on the Media tab, you will see all of your images.

You can turn off face recognition analysis in Preferences>Media-Analysis (uncheck the Images box).

What have you done to "try to get rid of them"?

If I have misunderstood your question, please provide more information.

Thank you for taking time to answer. It is helpful.

    You did understand my question.

What I meant by "tried to get rid of them" was that I had searched in vain for a setting to stop these thumbnails of faces from appearing in the Organizer.
