Organizer Locks Using Search Function

Using Adobe Photoshop Elements 2020 on Windows 10 Home operating system version 21H1, 64 Bit, x64-based processor.

Problem is as follows: When I use Organizer's Search function, Search returns results, but when I click on the arrow for "See results of your search in a view where you can edit and create with photos and videos", I get multiple results and I can select the photo I want, but I cannot edit it. The message for "See results of your search..." does not disappear. Organizer locks, and all I can do is shut it down. Please help. Thank you.
