ORGANIZER QUESTION

Question

An Organizer question.  I sometimes get this when I open Organizer - “Auto backup of catalogue structure”.  What is this?  Is it worth doing?  It does not apparently backup the actual pictures so what does it do?  Currently, every so often I do a full backup of 160,000 pictures with tabs and albums, using external hard drive.

If you go to the Organizer menu:File > BackupYou will see three choices offeredA structural backup is the quickest; with the smallest file size. Although you would need to re-link your actual photosA full back up, or combination of full and incremental is the best method e.g. if you ever need to restore a crashed disk.Think of the structural backup as an extra safety step e.g. every time you exit the program prior to making your next backup with photo files.
