Password failure to update PSE 14 to 14.1

Mac OS X Sierra. PSE 14.

PSE notified me that ver 14.1 was available. I clicked to download it, with the Adobe Update Manager, and was asked to login. Tried, but failed to log in using my main Adobe password which does work on my main Adobe account. Are there 2 separate passwords here, and how to I get one that will allow me to Update?

    Are you sure it wasn't your operating system asking you to enter your local administrator username and password?
