Pattern Brush lines

If I try to use a pattern brush it shows cutoff lines like a non-seamless pattern. Is this usual? Thanks for any help or suggestions. This happens regardless of brush size.

What version of photoshop elements and operating are you using?

 

Your using the Pattern Stamp Tool?

 

Is that a pattern you loaded yourself?

Hi Jeff, thanks for your response.

 

I'm using the latest version of PSE 2021, and the patterns I'm using are both loaded in by myself, and those that come with the program. I'm guessing that brush size and seamlessness have something to do with it?
