Question

PE 14 - can't see all of toolbox on laptop

We used to have PE12 (for Windows) on a laptop but it was unusable because the fonts were really small and unreadable, so we upgraded to PE14 which seemed to solve the issue. Unfortunately, it's created another problem - the fonts are larger but the bottom of the left hand toolbox (in 'Expert'mode) slips behind the panel at the bottom of the screen, so the last two toolbox items are always hidden.

I can't seen to resize the toolbox or drag it to make it floating and I can't move or delete the lower panel. Is this a common fault with PE14 on a laptop and is there a fix? If not, are there any suggestions for work arounds?

Laptop is a Toshiba Kira-102 Ultrabook with a 13.3" screen and resolution set at 2560 x 1440.

Thanks.

Unfortunately, the real problem is the resolution of the screen: 2560 x 1440, which is not a 'standard' nor a '4k' resolution.

The solution to display bigger fonts since Elements13.1 is to set the menu Edit >> preferences >> Display and cursors, button 'UI scale factor' to 200%. That is fine for real 4k displays, but that hides part of the menus and panels in the interface.

I am afraid I don't see any other solution than moving back to 100% with small fonts.

If you can set the resolution of your display to a lower resolution like 1900 x 1200 or less, that would work (for all your applications also )

Note that the organizer can use the Windows option to show fonts at 125%.
