PE 2024 suddenly stops printing A3 sized prints correctly

Hi,

A few weeks ago I was happily printing both A4 & A3 prints on my Epson R1900. Yesterday, I was able to print A4 successfully, but all I get for the A3 is a 155x105mm section of the print appearing in the centre of the sheet. The Print Monitor shows the progress bar jumping to nearly 50%, progressing to ~60% then jumping to the end, consistent with the small fraction of the print output. I have installed the latest printer driver from Epson, to no avail. I have rebooted my PC several times, with the same result. My OS is Win10.

Can anyone suggest where I should go from here?

Thanks in advance,

Paul.

Correct answer Greg_S.

If you are printing from the Editor, try resetting the preferences file. Go to the Edit>Preferences>General tab and click the Reset Preferences on next launch button.

Thanks for that suggestion, Greg S. It's fixed a problem that I forgot to include in my original problem description: the fact that the Print dialogue didn't reflect changes in the image-size:sheet-size display - all I could see was a fairly constant full image view. I even changed an A3 sized image to A4, A5 and A6 print sizes, and there was not cropping of the print display in the Print dialogue view. This now happens after the preferences reset and a restart.

Sadly, I have run out of an ink cartridge, so I can't test the output until I have installed a replacement. I'll post an update when I have tested this.

Many thanks for your swift help, here.

Paul.
