PE15 trial and PE15 for mac app store edition don't work

Hello, does anyone here know how to sort this:

We had PE15 trial on a  mac, then bought the full PE15 for mac from Aplle app store. The Trial version was not removed before installing the new one. It worked fine for three weeks, and then suddenly went back to trial mode again with system crashes occurring.

We have tried

- removing the installation of both versions and reinstalling the full one

- removing any related files from  /library/preferences, /library/ Apllication Support, /Library/ Caches and reinstalling the full version

It still doesn't work.

We have installed the full version for an imaginary "new user" on the same computer, there it works ok, but it wouldnt be convenient to move all of this one persons data to a new account just because of this.

Abobe support has declined any help, because they would want to see a serial number first, but on adobe's own page they tell there are no serial numbers for PE15 bought from app store. They just say App store should help. App store says adobe should help.

So, at the moment, we have a 70 euros worth of adobe software that doesnt work, and adobe refuses to help in any way.

Are there any more hidden trial-version files to delete?

Thank you, help much welcome! 🙂

Try trashing the prefs for the trial verion.

    Quit Elements

Launch Finder and go to your Username >>Library >> Preferences

Send the following files/folders to the trash:

    com.adobe.PhotoshopElements.plist

    Adobe Photoshop Elements 15 Paths

    Adobe Photoshop Elements 15 Settings.

The library is hidden in recent versions of OSX. To get to your user library quickly, from the top menu in Finder, click “Go” whilst holding down the Option (Alt) key and your user Library will appear for you to choose.

Then try deleting the pref settings for the App store version.

Hold down the three keys Cmd+Optn+Shift whilst simultaneously launching the Editor application.

Release the three keys after two or three seconds and you should see a settings dialog.

Click “Yes” to delete the saved settings.

Thank you so much! The trial preferences were already removed but that one last bit, deleting the app store version settings with that three finger salute was what made it work for us. Thanks!
