In the new 2018 release using Photo Editor in Expert mode, any file Raw or Jpg file opened into Camera Raw for adjustment, will only allow Save Image as a .dng copy.

Any fix???

    Your not missing anything.

Since photoshop elements is geared more toward non professional users, it doesn't have all the settings and options that photoshop does, including only being able to save to dng from inside acr.

    Jeff,

Thanks.  Got it, as said.  Workflooooooooooooooo..oooo.ow.

Checking PSE out for an Old friend, and for me as well, for familiar and updated-body Raw proc and editing on the road; World roads with no Internet or comm at the ends.

Open the file in to the pse 2018 Editor and use File>Save As for jpegs, tif, psd, etc.

    Jeff,

Not an answer I understand, Re, saving from Camera Raw vs saving from the Editor.

I am used to CS CR being able to save quick-edited Jpgs to a new copy name, or processed Raws to whatever.  Here, the only option for saving either is a .dng file.  What am I missing in PSE?
