Pen Pressure won't work in Adobe Elements 12

I'm using adobe photoshop elements 12, and I'm using a wacom intuos pro drawing tablet. When trying to draw in elements, using any tool on the canvas reacts like I'm using the hand tool; just dragging it across the board. I can't erase, I can't draw, it won't work. Turning window's ink off in the wacom preferences page makes it so the pen works in photoshops, but there is no pressure and it's like I'm drawing with a mouse.

I am using Windows 10, the wacom drivers and photoshop are updated.

It is not a driver issue because the wacom works perfectly fine with Mischief, Corel Painter Essentials 5, and SAI. This is only an issue with adobe.

These are the solutions I have tried that have not been successful in fixing the pen pressure or letting me use a tablet in adobe photoshop:

-uninstalling and reinstalling adobe photoshop

-uninstalling and reinstalling wacom tablet drivers

-reverting tool settings in adobe photoshop

-removing tablet tool preferences (Mine and all users) in the tablet preference file utility

-replacing the pen nib

-uninstalling the recent windows updates

-defaulting the pen preferences in the wacom pen settings

I even uninstalled the new drivers and reinstalled the drivers for my original wacom drawing tablet (8 years old intuos) and that won't even work in adobe photoshop anymore. I have called and went through the diagnostic checks with the tablet through wacom; it is not a driver issue, it is not a wacom issue, it is an adobe problem.

All the online forms and go to solution pages on adobe are for adobe photoshop cc, i have elements 12, i called the number and they told me to come to here, because they don't solve elements issues on the phone anymore.

This is my last effort to fix this problem, and the answer i get here is going to judge if I'm getting another photoshop product in the future.

Please fix my issue.

One comment though - In Photoshop if you don't use windows ink then you have to add a configuration text file so that Photoshop knows how to use pen pressure.

Tablet support for Photoshop on Windows 8

I don't have Photoshop Elements installed here so can't test that - but it may be worth a look.

I went to try that, but that video and explanation is for adobe photoshop cc, not elements, I can't even find the settings folder to place the text file inside. I go into the file for adobe photoshop and there are multiple folders for resources, deploy, packages, and payloads. But it's not as simple as finding where the file is for photoshop cc, i wouldn't even know where to place the txt file in.

That's why i made a point of saying i was running photoshop elements 12, because the only solutions for this issue are for photoshop cc, which have different file locations and folder names. That webpage helps right up to the point until it says where to place the text file.

So is there a specific location where i must make the file for elelments 12?
