Photo database link problem

Hello,

I have a family photo database of nearly 49k photos on my 😧 drive. All these photos are nicely organised in PSE 2026 Organiser.

Recently, following a major backup exercise, I appear to have backed up my Catalogue to the C: drive and also copied the database to the same location.

The result is that the organiser now uses the copy of the database on the C: drive as its source  and not the original location on the 😧 drive.

What is the easiest way to get the organiser to use the original source location on trhe 😧 drive?

I am a bit loath to delete the copied database  on the C: drive and then reconnect to 49k photos on the 😧 drive unless I am assured that this is the best way to resolve the issue.

Thanks & Regards,

Jim

Try searching on the D drive for a file named catalog.pse26db.  If you find it there, simply double-click on it and the catalog should open in the Organizer.  (You could also go to the Organizer's File>Manage Catalogs dialog to locate the catalog on the D drive.)

@Greg_S.

Thankyou for this useful informartion. I solved the problem by deleting the catalogue that was in the wrong (C:) drive. When I opened the organiser and it was looking for the photos, I pointed it at the correct location on the 😧 drive and the orgaiser, very quickly, connected to the photos.

Regards,

Jim
