photo merge Compose guided feature troubleshooting

I was loving this feature, but all of a sudden the hide brush quit working. the reveal brush still works . but I don't know how to fix this

Hi,

Please reset your photoshop elements preferences.

1. In Photoshop Elements, press cmd+k

2. Click on 'Reset preferences on next launch' button. See the screen grab attached below.

3. Click on 'Ok' button.

4. Relaunch the application.

Please let us know if the issue persists.
