Photomerge error message for PSE 14. Please help!

I get this error message every time I try to open Photomerge Group shots, faces, exposure and scene cleaner.

"Could not complete the command because something prevented the text engine from being initialized."

I have tried different pictures and get the same message. How can I fix this? Is there an update or fix for this?

The error message is the same. That happened recently in different Elements versions after an update from Windows 10 creator. I have not seen this error message related to Photomarge, though...
