Photoshop

I have adobe photoshop 5.0 LE and can't reinstall it.  I get this message:  you can’t open the application “Install Photoshop® LE” because the Classic environment is no longer supported.

How can I fix this problem? Thanks

    Your trying to install photoshop 5 LE on a newer mac?

    If so, what version of mac os x or macOS?

    If it's an Intel processor mac, then photoshop LE 5 won't work and in fact photoshop LE was made to run on mac OS before mac os x was born. That is mac OS 7, 8, 9 of the 1990s, which is a totally different operating system than mac os x or macOS as apple calls it now.

    The Classic Environment to which that message refers to is on PowerPC processor macs running os x 10.0 thru 10.4 Tiger that enabled booting into Mac OS 9 to run older software like photoshop 5 LE.

    Best to forget about photoshop 5 LE unless you get PowerPC mac like a G3, G4 or G5 and instead buy photoshop elements 2018 , which most likely will work on your mac.
