Photoshop 19-computer paralyzer

I have a Dell I-7 with 16 GB ram and my computer is paralyzed!  I upgraded from PS 14 because it was so slow and PS 19 is just as bad.  It shouldn't take 45 seconds to process one face conformation in organizer!

What is wrong?

    Hi,

    I had couple of questions regarding your post, so that we could analyze this further:

    1. What is media count in your catalog?

    2. What is the location of your pictures? Is it on a local drive on your system, an external drive or network?

    3. Please let me know the format of your images, are they RAW images, .jpeg images or some other format?

    4. Were these operations slow when Face Analysis was running on catalog? Is the performance same after pictures have been analysed or is it better?
