I just upgraded to pse 2024 due to the fact that pse 2022 didn't work with my os sonoma.  While taking the video tutorials, I notced that sometimes when instructed to click next, next was not an option. today, i was told while using one of the tutorilas on masking i was instructed to unlock a new mask, but it was NOT LOCKED.  When I found myself at a standstill and tried to start the tutorial over i was instructed that i couldn't until i finished the course.  so I had to quit pse and start over.

so is 2024 not compatible with sonoma?

I have a new Mac Studio with OS 14.1 and with Photoshop 2024. Photoshop 2024 will open but not function. The application freezes and mouse clicks on all icons responds with a warning 'blip'. I have deleted Photoshop 2024 and reinstalled it but to no avail. The app also opens a screen inviting me to purchase Adobe Apps but this has taken me in circles with nothing working. Is it a problem with OS 14.1 or with Photoshop 2024. Many others seem to have the same problem. Please help.

I was using sonoma, went back to ventura, and aftrer having problems, went back to PSE 2022.  Still having minor issues, but nothing I can't live with.

Duplicate post https://community.adobe.com/t5/photoshop-ecosystem-bugs/pse-2024-and-sonoma-problems/idi-p/14187384

@drawskip you only need to post your issue once on the forum, posting multiple post about the same issue will only cause confusing

ok.  after I posted, i wondered if i should have posted it in bugs.  That's reason for duplicate.  Won't do it again

@drawskip It's not a big issue, but you will need to post it in the Photoshop Elements forum instead
