Photoshop Crashes when Saving to PNG format

I'm having a small issue where Photoshop Elements Editor 2018 will crash every time when trying to save a .psd file as a .png, and It only happens with a .psd file.

Photoshop is updated to the latest version (16.0) and my Mac is on Mojave 10.14.1

Am I doing something wrong or is there a possible bug in Photoshop?

Try using File >> Save for Web

Then select PNG 24 from the pull-down menu, which preserves transparency.
