photoshop edit not showing up in organizer's thumbnails

I edited and saved a picture in Photoshop Elements 13 and it isn't showing up in the Organizer's thumbnails. (I edited a photo a couple of days ago and it worked.) I have closed and re-opened the program 3 times and also shut down and reopened my PC. I've also searched throughout my thumbnails, to no avail.

p.s. Does anyone know WHY, when I open the program, I'm asked to update it every single time?
