Photoshop elements 11 File information not working

Hi,

When I try to display the metadata of a picture using File/Information menu, nothing happens for a few seconds then the information windows opens but it is completely blank and Photoshop Elements no longer responds to any click or action. I nee to kill the application using the task Manager.

I am running PE 11.0 (20120922.r.32287) under windows 10 professional 64 bits version 1709 (16299.248)

This function used to work but it does not any more.

Any tip on what could the cause and the solution?
