Photoshop elements 11 is no longer opening on iMac

My photoshop elements 11 is no longer opening on my iMac, it just bounces up and down and then a box comes up asking me to sign in to use this application on this computer with Apple ID and password, which I do and then it just doesn't open. Please please help me, I need elements to run my small business and it's been like this for 2 weeks. I've contacted Adobe but no help at all.

What version of macOS or Mac OS X do you have?

Is your PSE 11 from the Apple App Store or from Adobe?

Is that the Apple ID it's asking for or maybe it's your Adobe account email and password?
