Question

Photoshop Elements 11 isn't showing the pixel size of my image

So I have a 2015 iMac and a brand new MacBook Pro (2016) and I have Photoshop Elements 11 on both of them. When I click the menu option Window and activate Info it brings up the box that shows information about your image. But most importantly its suppose to show me the pixel size as I drag a selection or crop around my image. It is also suppose to show me where my cursor is on the image. But it doesn't do either of these 2 things. I can scroll over the image and it never shows the pixel dimension that my cursor is on. Also when I'm trying to crop to a specific size as I'm dragging the crop box it doesn't update the pixel box size. When I let go of the box it then shows me the size of the box but that does me no good because I have already let go. It takes me forever to try to crop or select a specific size. This never did this on my windows computer. But it did it on my iMac last year. And now it does it on my MacBook Pro. Please help.

Do you have your Ruler Units set to Pixels?

Go to Adobe Photoshop Elements Editor>Preferences>Units & Rulers and set the Rulers to pixels.

In pse 11 it seems that one needs to have the Info dialog docked with the rest of the panels on the right hand side in order for the readings to work.

Thanks, my ruler is set to pixels. How do I dock the info dialog box? Mine is just floating around.

Sorry i didn't get back to you sooner.

Anyway, in the pse 11 editor in the Expert mode, click on More, click on Custom Workspace and then you should be able to dock the panels.
