Photoshop Elements 11 pull down menus are empty

Have not used my Photoshop Elements 11 for a few months, now when the program opens all the pull down menus ie file, edit, image etc. are empty which makes the program useless. Any suggestions

    Windows 10 updated automatically today, Photoshop Elements 11 pull down menus are now working again.
