Photoshop Elements 12 Editor

I have been using Photoshop Elements 12 Editor for several years now. Whenever I try and save anything it crashes. Anyone have any ideas on what I need to do? I tried to contact adobe and the virtual chat said 'We didn't find a supported product in your account'.
