Photoshop Elements 12 editor will not launch

I have Windows 10 Home (version 1607)  64 bit. When I try to launch the Editor, after logging in, I am offered a 30 day trial. But I already own the software. I have used the Editor in the past with no difficulty. Do I need to reinstall or is there a simpler solution?
