Photoshop Elements 12 Issue due to no Adobe Account

Adobe Team,

I purchased Photoshop Elements 12 around Christmas time of 2013. It has been years since I used it and just now tried to use my disk to install it on a new computer to edit some summer vacation photos. I was able to install the program, but it is requiring me to enter my Adobe account in order to launch the editor. To my knowledge I do not have an account. I have the physical disk and original packaging including the serial number. Please help me gain access to the program that I purchased years ago. Thanks.
