Photoshop Elements 12 Menu Text still missing

beaeugt  wrote Hi there. I'm running Adobe Photoshop Elements 12 on Windows 10 64 bit (latest Update). Even though Premiere Elements and Illustrator seem to be running just fine,Photoshop isn't. Photoshop starts up looking normal, but when you klick on the menu bar, the menus open without showing any text. I followed the advice in this post: Re: Photoshop Elements 12 missing menu text.  and installed 2017-05 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1703 for x64-based Systems (KB4020102) and it seemed to fix the problem. The menus showed up and PS worked fine. After restarting the PC the other day things didn't work again. I reinstalled Windows from an image, I reinstalled PS from CDROM - every time the program works until the next day. I used it with and without an internet connection, I restarted the system several times, I rebooted into safe mode and I shut down every single App that was not being used. The only thing that did work was reinstalling PS. It only seems to work for one day/ until reboot though. Adobe! Is this a killswitch? Do you want me to pay for something?

As you have already seen by searching on recent posts, you are far from being alone to have that issue (they are other very annoying ones with fonts...)

You also know perfectly well that Adobe has not changed a single line of code in PSE12 or any older version. The root of the problem is a change in the updates of Windows 10 Creator. The drama is that Adobe won't update any of the 14 older versions of Elements to find workarounds to deal with changes in the OS.

Personally I have not met that issue with any of my older versions, but I understand it's dramatic.

Keep an eye on this forum as well as the Feedback forum, I hope someone will come up with a solution.
