Photoshop Elements 14 - accessing existing tags when installing elements to a new PC

Greetings

I have just installed photoshop elements 14 on a new PC.  When I installed it, a question popped up asking if I wished to use the existing tags.  These were tags I attached to photos using the same version of elements 14 on my old PC.

Sadly, I cannot find the old tags.

I need some help to sort this problem out.  I do not wish to have to go through all the photos and attach tags again

Best wishes

John

John,

I assume you had a catalog on your old PC. By default, all your tags (as well as captions, ratings, notes, albums, stacks, version sets, projects...) are store in the catalog. It's a hidden folder containing the database 'catalog.pse14db' and its associated files and subfolders.

Those tags are not stored in the files themselves, so you have to transfer both the catalog and the files when you move to another computer.

Move Elements Organizer catalog | Elements 6 or later

Ask if you need more help.
