Photoshop Elements 14 does not work with Wacom tablet.

Hi!
I've had some issues with Photoshop Elements 14 lately.
I have used the program to draw in with my Wacom Bamboo tablet for many years now, and it has worked perfectly up until yesterday. When I put the pen against the tablet to draw the on-screen cursor disappears, and nothing happens. Only when I spam-click (a.k.a. stab the tablet with my pen over and over) do I get A FEW dots. The tablet works just as fine as usual in all the other drawing programs I have, so even though it's old and rusty I don't think the tablet is the problem here. I think the problem lies in Elements 14.

I'm grateful for any kind of help!

Hi!

I had this same problem, and I tried everything I could think of. I deleted preferences, re-installed the program, booted my whole computer, and did everything I could with my wacom tablet. I contacted wacom, and explained my problem to them, and after talking to the support person there we came to the conclusion that the problem must indeed be in the photoshop.

i struggled with this for months, and when nothing helped I upgraded my photoshop elements 14 to the newest 2018 version. That works really well now.
