Photoshop Elements 14 Editor Stopped Working

Hope someone on here is able to help.

Photoshop Elements 14, which was working fine for a couple of months, has stopped working, and I'm at a complete loss as to what the problem is (I'm not particularly good with IT).  I'm getting the following error message:

"C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\MSVCP110.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error.  Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the software vendor for support.  Error status 0xc000012f."

I've removed the program and reinstalled it, but still have the same problem.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

    Hi Richard,

This is usually a Microsoft error rather than an Adobe error. It is sometimes necessary to re-install Microsoft components. But don’t uninstall try a repair.

Hold down the Windows key while Pressing X

Choose Control Panel >>Programs >> Uninstall a program

Highlight Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable 2015 and click change on the menu bar. Then choose repair. You may have to repair both X64 and X86 versions. Repeat for the 2013 versions of MS Visual C++ e.g. repair four in total.

Re-boot your PC. Then try re-launching PSE.
