Photoshop Elements 14 - Why now do I need user name & password?

I purchased this program outright from Costco.  Have been using it, albeit not on a regular basis.  Used it to make something a couple days ago.  Now all of the sudden, I can't get into my own program.  It's requiring a User name & password, which I created, but it still won't let me in?  Getting the run around from customer support.  Any ideas?  Only the Organizer opens up.  What about editing something?  I don't organize my photos here.
