Question

Photoshop Elements 15 (adjust facial features NOT working & cropping issues)

Hi. I cannot get the adjust facial features option to function correctly. When I select it, instead of showing the photo I want to edit, it has a RED background with the

editing selection circles on the screen only...

The next issue is that I USED TO be able to crop photos without any size issue, but now when I try to crop them, the cropped photo shows up as a ridiculously tiny 1/4" x 1/4" photo on the screen & if I zoom in on the cropped photo it is blurry & pixelated, even though the original is not blurry. This feature used to work fine, but now it won't work correctly on any photo. I am able to crop them in other photo software without any issues, but I don't want to have to use 2-3 programs to edit photos.

Original photo before attempting to crop it:

AFTER CROPPING:

PLEASE HELP!!

Thank you.

For the first issue:

Did you close Elements, reboot the computer and did you get the same red background?

Check that your foreground/background are the default black/white not red.

For the second issue, you'll need to post a screenshot of your tool panel (resize tool) with the resize tool options bar on the bottom.

Press the print screen key on your keyboard (puts the screenshot in the clipboard).

Back in the editor (expert mode), menu File >> New, Image from clipboard (opens a new file with the screen copy)

Save the file.

Now, start a new post and use the 7th icon on the top bar, navigate to the file and add it to your post.

I have not specifically rebooted for this issue, but the computer has been rebooted & it hasn't changed. To be honest, I have no idea how to check the background color. I CAN say that there is this.. is this what you mean? TY!

Thanks for the screenshot.

It does show that the color swatch is set to show black on black. To reset to the default black over white background, simply press the 'D' letter key.
