I am having difficulty with PSE Photo Downloader. It imports photos into the organizer and then it "greys out". The only functions available are "browse". It will not "verify and delete originals", nor will it "close" or "cancel". I have to cntr +alt +del it. Please advise. Thank you.

These are from my game camera. You can see we had an unwelcome visitor!

Would it work without the option to 'verify and delete originals'?

That might mean that there is a permission problem to delete on the original media?

    That's not clear for me.

    The import has two stages:

    - you select your images, they are 'downloaded' to the computer

    - they are 'entered', that is indexed in the catalog.

At what stage is the problem?

Could you provide a sreenshot of the avaible function in the importer dialog?

(use the 7th icon on the present top bar to include your screenshot in your answer).

    Hi Michel,

    Thank you for your reply.

The images from my card are “downloaded” to my computer and then imported into PSE Organizer. It is after this that the Photo Downloader partially becomes dysfunctional. It does not “verify and delete originals” (my selected option), nor can I close it out or “Cancel”. I am relegated to using the Task Manager to close it out and then reformatting my card in order to remove the images. The “Browse” function does work, however. Odd. The screenshot is attached.

Thanks for your help with this.
