Photoshop Elements 15 serial number issue

Not sure if this the right area to post.

So, I went to my photoshop elements to make wallpapers and all the sudden a message popped up and saying "Do you want to start the free trail?" Needles to say, I was all confused by the message. I know when before (after) installing the program and I had to put the serial number in. I bought the full software and I know that I never had an issue about the serial number, what is going on? I still can use the trial program. It acts like I never put the serial number in, any help would be great!

    Hi Kat

    It may have happened because you updated your computer or made some other changes.

    Normally you would see continue trial or Licence this software. Simply click the Licence button, sign-in and re-enter your serial number.

    My computer did made windows 10 update. So that could be it? I know I was seaching online and all the sudden I got a porn popup virus ad and I don't even look at that crap. I have no idea how and why it popped up. I did scanned my computer using Kaspersky and the window definder (sp) and it could not find no threats at all. I did unpin windows edge from the toolbar as that message would popup and after I unpin it and went back online ad that popup was gone. I did changed my computer password (to be safe). I really hope there is no virus in the computer somewhere. I know the protection said it couldn't find anything. I do worry as it's a new computer. I wonder if I should still be concerned?

    Of I retype the serial number and if it does not take, what should I do?

    The serial number should take as you are using the same machine. If not, you can start an on-line chat session with an Adobe agent.
