Hi

Has anyone manage to install Photoshop Elements 17 on W11?

I have tried everything that I can find here.

I have changed computer and can not install a program that I have bought.

Correct answer Peru Bob

I tried with both the free version and also a test period with the licences version of the creative cloud with the same result.

Make sure to cancel the trial or it will automatically become a subscription and you will be charged.

If you have been able to download the file, then disconnect your computer from the internet and activate the program offline, using these instructions.

Thank you for your advise.

I can only download "PhotoshopElements_2019_LS30_win64.exe" 2490 kb.

My problem is still "Update your browser". It seems impossible to continue from that point.

Kind Regards

Sten

I found a installation cd on Swedish eBay on premiere elements so I hopefully can install that and use my license. Now a need to find a cd on photoshop elements. 2019.

I think it is impossible to solve it by download from the internet.

Download the file on a friend's computer.

I have 3 different computers. I can download the exe file, no problems but the installation says "update browser".

it is to bad that it is impossible to download a complete installation like a cd.

If you have not already done so, try downloading the older Microsoft Runtime Library from here.  Until you tell us everything you have actually tried, rather than telling us that you have tried everything you can find here, we are just spinning our wheels.

You also haven't told us whether you are installing from a download link, an optical disc or some other method. Nor do we know at what stage you are getting the browser message.  If you have successfully downloaded the installation file from your Adobe account, turn off your connection to the internet completely.  Also turn off your anti-virus and firewall software before installing.

First of all, thanks a lot for helping me out. I sorry if my english is not perfect.

I download the installation file "PhotoshopElements_2019_LS30_win64" from Adobe and click run.

The result is "Update your browser" "

To be able to use Adobe services, you must update your Adobe applications, operating system,
and browser to the latest versions."
A can not find anything more to update.
I have tried to also run it in
compatibility mode but that did not help the situation.
I have also tried to run the adobe clean tool. Also using crative cloud.
I have not tried the older microsoft runtime because i do not know the version I should try.
The computer is: HP Zbook Fury G8 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-11850H @ 2.50GHz 2.50 GHz 32 GB RAM
Windows 11 Pro version 23H2

Just a guess:

You may need to install the Creative Cloud application before installing Photoshop Elements:
https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/kb/creative-cloud-desktop-app-download.html

I had to install it to be able to install PSE 2018 on Windows 10.

Yes, I have Elements 17 aka Elements 2019 installed on my Win 11 machine.  What problems are you having?  What error messages, if any?

I only get "Update browser" the installer do not start. Everything is updated. I do not know what more I can do.

I have tried every method that I can find here on the community.

How did you manage to install it?

Install this, then forget about it. You can't "get signed up" for anything you don't choose to.
It has just worked for some users, Adobe not even really sure why it works.
