Photoshop Elements 2018

Searched for untagged photos.  Results:  4,621.  Most of them tagged. I retagged some from this results batch and then searched again, results brought up the same photos, which were tagged.  Also.  There is a white circle with a slash through it in the top left hand corner of the thumbnail.

    I did miss your first post:

    The icon 'with a white circle with a slash through it' indicates that the file shown does not fit with the criteria of your search.

    That happens when you have one or several files which are already tagged in a stack or a version set. All the items in the stack/version set are shown together with the items corresponding "matching' the criteria.

    The way stacks are implemented in the organizer has a bad result: you can display the files matching with your search criteria, but the other non matching items will also be shown. You can select only the matching items if you have stacks. You can see the exact count of strictly matching files.
