Photoshop Elements 2018 crashing when saving

I recently switched from Photoshop Elements 2013 to 2018 and am having issues when saving files. I am using Windows 10 and everything is updated. Every time I edit more than one photo, when I try to save them both by closing them, the program crashes. I haven't this at all when using the previous version and it is quite disappointing to upgrade and face new issues.

    Try deleting the saved prefs.

Launch the Editor and go to:

    Edit >> Preferences >> General

Click the button to re-set the preferences on next launch and click OK.

    Quit Elements Editor and re-start.

Hmm, unfortunately, that did not fix this issue. The program asks what each file should be saved as, then when it asks for jpeg saving options, it crashes on the second photo (no matter which photos are trying to be saved).

Does it work OK if you save each photo before quitting the program?
