Photoshop Elements 2018 install hangs

I have downloaded the on-line version of PSE 2018 for Windows 10. The install hangs at "Please wait while the downloaded files are extracted". An empty files folder is created but that's it. The installer goes unresponsive. I have plenty of free space and have rebooted so no other programs are running. Any ideas please?

    Please try downloading PSE2018 from Download Photoshop Elements | 2018, 15, 14, 13, 12, 11, 10

    Also update Adobe Application Manager once before installing PSE 2018. You can update AAM from Adobe - Adobe Application Manager : For Windows : Adobe Application Manager : Thank You

    This worked OK. The file I downloaded from in-download.com was corrupt.
