Photoshop Elements 2018 watched folders

I have just upgraded from pse12 and find the watched folder option does not work. I see in services that Adobe Active File Monitor is not present so maybe that's the issue. I have uninstalled pse12 then reinstalled pse2018 to no avail.

Any helpful suggestions would be welcomed.

    I don't know why the watched folder does not work for you (it often does not work for me).

    What is new is that from PSE15 on, there is no longer any Adobd Active File Monitor service.
