photoshop elements 2020 problem with updates

i have photoshop elements 2020 and it says an update is available, but then cant find the program it needs to update.  i must have smoked it when i was cleaning and making room on my mac. what download do i need to get it to work?  where can i download it?  i have been searching and cannot find it.
