Ask:
With Adobe startup, loading the catalog is super fast.
However, when I copy a photo in Adobe that I then want to place in a folder in the explorer, the system is super slow.
It takes more than 12 seconds before the photo becomes visible in the explorer and before the cursor forms an arrow again instead of a circle, more than 20 seconds.
According to the specifications that Adobe Elements 2022 sets for a PC, my PC would more than meet these specifications.
What could this be due to?

What happens if you use a different option?:

  • Click and drag a file from the Organizer grid to a Windows File Explorer window
  • Use the File>Export as New File(s) menu
  • Select a file and open its location in an Explorer window from the Information Panel on the right and copy and paste from there.

I use the key combination Ctrl+C in Adobe and then paste with Ctrl+V the photo in a folder using the Windows explorer.
