Photoshop ELements 2022 freezes when saving.

I am running Photoshop Elements 2022 on a Windows 11 laptop. I have never had trouble with it until recently. It freezes when I try to save an image, and I can't even minimize the window from the app. All the commands are grayed out, both on screen and from the taskbar. Can you help me solve this problem?
