Photoshop Elements 2025 crashes when opening DNG

I just started using a new Macbook running MacOS Sequoia 15.2.
I downloaded Photoshop Elements 2025 for trial.
I also installed Camera Raw, required to read DNG files.
But each time I try to open a DNG file, Photoshop Elements crashes.
The crash occurs no matter if I double-click the DNG in Finder or open it via File|Open in Camera Raw.
When I try via File|Open in Camera Raw, the preview pane correctly shows the image.
My DNG pictures are created by a 2020 Pentax K-70 camera.
On my old Macbook I can open them without any issue with Photoshop Elements 10.
Can anybody tell me what's wrong?
