Photoshop Elements 2026 camera raw

I use Photoshop Elements 2026 for mac whose current camera raw version is 18.2.2.2512, which doesn’t support the raw format from Lumix DC-L10. The Help - Install Camera Raw command won’t install a newer version. I also installed manually ACR 18.4.1 which doesn’t upgrade Photoshop Elements 2026’s camera raw. Can I upgrade ACR to 18.4.1 in Photoshop Elements 2026 before Adobe takes any action? If I can, how?

Hi Glenn, I followed your instruction for Mac and it works! Photoshop Elements 2026 now can open the RAW files created by my Lumix L10. You’re a true Legend! Thanks.

Do this:

note: I just installed 18.4.1 and it works with no issues

When you first manually install ACR it does nothing to PSE-- you have to copy and paste 1 file. rename your current ACR file in your pse directory (or delete it which is what I usually do) - then do the stuff below.

C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 2026\Plug-Ins

is where the 8bi file (dated july 8th) goes.

THE FILE YOU NEED SHOULD BE HERE:

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Plug-Ins\CC\File Formats

the 18.4.1 acr file (it’s an 8bi file is dated July 8th. is around 227 MB in size.

Put it in the Plug-ins folder noted above.
