Question

Photoshop Elements 2026 won't restore photo on 2020 Intel iMac

Just installed Photoshop Elements 2026 on my 2020 Intel iMac 8-core Intel Core i7 running Tahoe 26.0.1

Tried to test out photo restore (primary reason for buying this) and it does nothing.  The window heading says "Restore Photo" so I think I am in the right place.f

I select Enhance> Restore Photo and I see no visible changes when I toggle the before/after views.  I also do not get any tools on the right side for refining the restore.

Thoughts?

Thanks!

I would go with the guided edit for this.  the choices given with Enhance>Restore photo are limited, when given the choice of using the guided edit.   What is interesting is that the original Enhance>Restore even offers less choices than the quick mode- which makes me think someone at Adobe thought it was a good way to go, and I don't think it is in this case.

ABOUT THE MISSING TOOLS:   Sometimes reseting your preferences helps clear stuff up.   Do what the arrow is pointing to,

IF THAT DON'T WORK:

Log out of the editor.  Reinstall it.

Thanks for the help.  When I closed the app and re-opened it, I was offered the choice of downloading the AI components.  Once I did that, I now see what is expected in terms of tools.  Not sure why it didn't show up at first.

Sometimes all it takes a  simple reopen to have everything appear.    Make sure you view the screenshots I posted, they are very helpful.
